About Menu Selections
StormShed is like every other software program. It consists of a many views into
the data. The menu selections starting with About generally describe parts of the
program and how they fit in the overall program design. There are basically five
(5) generally categories of data associated with any project. These categories are
Basins, Discharge structures, Hydrographs, Reaches, and Nodes. In addition, the
program provides three (3) windows into the data. The three windows are the Tree
View, Layout View and the History View.
Step by Step Guide
Select this if you don't have a good internet connection and want a thorough hands
on type introduction to StormShed. It is an Adobe Acrobat format file that is about
150 pages in length covering detention and layouts in detail.
Simple Detention
The most basic example. Illustrates creating Drainage Areas, Storage and Discharge
structures, how to create new records, Pond Design, and creation of a Pond report.
Simple Layout
Illustrates steps required to create a Layout and compute runoff that is generated
from it.
Inline Pond
Illustrates steps required to design a layout with an inline detention pond in it.
Answers the question of how to deal with multiple drainage areas entering a pond.
Diversions
Illustrates how to split flows in several directions and continue with the analysis.
