Layout View
The layout view is adjacent (right) of the
TreeView. It is an area where nodes and their connecting reaches
can be placed. The view is purely schematic, meaning the distance between
nodes is not related to the lenght of the connecting reach. To activate the
layout view, click on the
button in the toolbar.
Different symbols are used to give a visual cue of the objects type. Reaches
of different types are color and line coded to assist in visually determining the
reach type. All nodes and their connecting reaches can be easily reposition
by simply clicking and dragging the node.
Labels for nodes and reaches can be turned on and off. The type of label can
easily be selected.
Double clicking on a node
or reach will bring
up their respective dialog box for quick editing.
Clickin on the
button in the toolbar will present the Route instructiorns dialog box.
Using the Compute menu selection, the user can analyze the entire layout for all
design events that are defined. The program automatically computes all flows
through each reach, then computes the HGL elevation at each node going back up the
layout network. Users can specify starting tailwater conditions at the outlet
reach.
To obtain a report, for a particular layout, right mouse click on the layout name
in the tree view and select ToHistory. A report will automatically be generated
and placed into the Current Activity View. The Current Activity View is made active
by clicking on the
button in the toolbar. The report contains all data elements associated with the
layout and all hydrograph data generated by the computation. It is completely
self contained.
