We will be lazy and define one drainage area and use it in two locations. First open the Options dialog and insert the precips shown. If you don't know how, refer to the Simple Detention tutorial.
Next create a drainage area, labeled B-001. Enter the following data for it.

Record Id: B-001

Pervious TC 16.91 min

We will attach this drainage area to Nodes N-001 and N-005. Doing so insures that all nodes will have some runoff. The method of attaching then B-001 is to simply double click on Node N-001 and specify B-001 as its contributing basin. Press the Apply and then double click on Node N-005. Make B-001 its contributing basin too. Press Apply then OK.
Right mouse click in the Layout View and select Zero Diam. Select all reaches and check both the slopes and the diameters. Press the OK key.
Click on the button in the toolbar to display the Route Layout dialog.

In the Route Layout Dialog, Select the design event and Rainfall type to be applied to the drainage areas and press the Route button.

It doesn't make any difference what rainfall type and design event are specified in the individual drainage areas. The selections here will over ride them!

If the Layout view displays RED numbers or numbers in [], then it is likely that the reaches are not correctly linked to the nodes. Double click on the reach, go to the second tab and see if the up and down nodes are correctly identified. If necessary, fix them and repeat the computational step.

The final results.

Right mouse click on Layout1 in the Tree View and select To History.  Press the  button and your are done!
