We are ready to design the pond. Click on the
button on the toolbar to display the Pond Design View.
Enter the data as shown above. Be sure to use the Add button to update the design
instruction list.
|
When the data has been entered, press the Size Outlet button to instruction the
program to size the Orif control structure to match the three design events.
|
|
Click on the 100 year Design Event summary line to view the inflow and outflow hydrographs
for that event. Notice that the Report button is grayed out. Press the
Compute button to instruct the program to route the inflow hydrographs through the
Orif discharge structure. Note that the difference between Size Outlet and
Compute is that the Size Outlet button will size the MOrif structure for the three
events while the Compute button simple routes the flows through the outlet at whatever
outlet dimensions are currently defined. Think of the Compute button as an
as-built analysis feature.
|
|
After the program has sized to Orif structure, the Report button
is enabled. Selecting it will create a report in the Current Activity View that
contains all the components that were required for the computation and also to completely
support the analysis. Click on the Report button.
